Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
TutoringForAct.com ("we," "us" or "our") runs tutoringforact.com. This page explains what information is collected when you use this site, how it's used and what choices you have.
Who runs this site
TutoringForAct.com is built and run by Cedrick Reese as part of Ready Utilities (readyutilities.com). For anything in this policy, including privacy requests, use our contact form.
The short version
- The calculators run entirely in your browser. What you type isn't sent anywhere or saved.
- This site doesn't currently set cookies, run analytics, show ads or use tracking pixels.
- The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send through the contact form.
- We don't sell or share your personal information.
Information we collect
- Tool inputs: the answers and scores you type into the calculators are processed in your browser. They aren't sent to us, stored on a server or saved in your browser. When you close or reload the page, they're gone.
- Contact form: if you send a message through the contact page, the name, email address, subject and message you enter are sent to a form handler run by Ready Utilities (readyutilities.com), which operates this site, so we can read and reply to it.
- Server logs: like most web hosts, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, for security and troubleshooting.
- Cookies and similar technologies: this site does not currently set cookies, use local storage for tracking, run analytics or show ads. The light and dark theme button only changes the page you're on and doesn't save anything.
How we use this information
We use contact form messages only to reply to you and to fix problems you report. We keep a message only as long as we need it to answer you and follow up on what you reported. We don't sell, rent or share your information for advertising.
If you're in the European Economic Area or the UK, our legal basis for handling a contact form message is our legitimate interest in answering the message you chose to send us. Server logs are handled on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
Third-party services
- Google Fonts: pages load their fonts from Google Fonts. To download them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information. See Google's privacy policy.
- Contact form handler: messages are processed by the Ready Utilities form handler at readyutilities.com, as described above.
- Web hosting: our hosting provider stores the site's files and keeps the server logs described above.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or ask us to limit how we use it
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent
- complain to your local data protection authority (for example, in the EU or UK)
To make a request, use the contact form, choose "Other" as the subject and say it's a privacy request. We may need to confirm it's really you before acting on it. We'll respond within the time the law that applies to you requires.
California residents: we don't sell or share personal information, including for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use sensitive personal information. You can still ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, as described above. We won't treat you differently for making a request.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: because this site doesn't track you across websites, there's nothing for these signals to switch off at the moment. If that changes, we'll explain here how we honor them.
Before any ads or analytics are added
If we add analytics or advertising, such as Google AdSense, we'll do these things before it goes live:
- update this policy to name each service and the cookies it uses
- add a cookie policy page
- add a consent banner, so visitors in regions that require it can accept or refuse non-essential cookies before they're set
- explain how to opt out of personalized advertising
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Many ACT test-takers are teens, so we ask students not to include personal details beyond a name and email address in contact messages. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision. If a change affects how we use information you've already sent us, we'll say so on this page.
